Vocabulary in ASV_1901 that is NOT in KJV

• The list above is sorted by number, uppercase/titlecase, and lowercase in alphabetical order. The parenthetical numbers given in the table, in red, indicate the number of occurrences of that word or term in the Bible version presented.
• Some words, e.g. "Yes" in the KJV, never appear to have occurred in their all-lowercase form, and thus make their appearance among the titlecase words; so if you do not see a common word in one section, please check the other. However, if a word appeared in both titlecase and lowercase forms, with the exception of forms of "God/god," the program grouped and counted all such words in their lowercase form.
• Footnotes, if they exist, are stripped out before the analysis, so words occurring solely in a footnote will be absent from these statistics. In-text notations, such as [fn2] in some of the modern versions, are likewise removed, as well as any HTML tags that may have been present for text formatting purposes.
• It should be noted that many of the word differences between versions are relatively minor, such as small differences in spelling or punctuation. The word "En-dor" is not the same as "Endor" and "Elishah" is not the same as "Elisha" (and note here that BOTH of these words occur in some versions). Also, differences in British and American spellings, or older versus modern spellings, account for many differences; e.g. "pourtray" and "portray." It is not practical to attempt to correlate these, or other analogous words.
• One likely source of anomalies in the word processing arises from the difficulty in consistently distinguishing between the use of an apostrophe and that of a single quote, especially where the latter follows an "s" such as in "camels'" or similar words. No guarantee can be made of the accuracy of such terms in the lists, although attempts have been made to properly handle this issue.
